The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Arthur Dent finds himself being dragged into space with his friend Ford Prefect moments before Earth is destroyed. Once in space, they begin an adventure with the president of the galaxy, his girlfriend, a depressed robot, and many others to seek out the answers to some of the universe's most asked questions.

I kind of don't know how to describe this book. Simply put, it's just fun. It made me laugh out loud multiple times, and I honestly felt like I didn't even know what was happening half the time or what could possibly happen next. Not in a lack of plot kind of way, but in an everything is ridiculous kind of way. The pacing is great. The humor is unmatched. The characters are quirky and amazing, and Adams uses all their unique personalities to build the humor and situations super well.

I know this book is science fiction, but I feel like the label could make people hesitant to read it. I think anyone can enjoy this book. It is a quick, fast-paced read full of humor and is just a joy to read.
