The Fury

The Fury recounts the story of Lana, a famous actress, and her closest friends as they make their last trip to her private island in Greece. Narrated by her friend Elliot, we are drawn along through a chaotic weekend that is capped off with a murder.

This is going to be a quick one. This book was fine, and I don't have a ton of thoughts on it. The pacing was solid, and it was easy to read, but those are the two main good things about it for me. At the end of the day, I didn't like the characters. I didn't feel like there was anyone to root for. I spend a lot of time in other stories really enjoying characters even when they are extremely flawed or morally gray. This story just felt like it had a bunch of selfish rich people that I didn't care about. So, although the story was decent with some good twists, the characters just sucked to me.

If you enjoy murder mysteries or more thriller-type reads, this may be your jam. It isn't my normal genre, so I wouldn't take my word for it if you love those genres. It ultimately just wasn't really for me.
